Allen, Texas
The city of Allen is home to over 85,000 people and growing. It's conveniently located off of highway 75 and south of the Sam Rayburn Tollway (121). A great place for business and family, the schools in the area are very good. Most of the city is covered by Allen ISD, but a few areas are covered by Lovejoy, McKinney, and Plano ISD.
The area was originally home to Caddo, Comanche and other people before becoming a settlement area in the 1840s by US and European settlers. Like many Texas cities, the town was a railroad stop named after Ebenezer Allen. The railroad was critical in transporting crops across the country.
Allen lifestyle is now more suburban due to the growth of the north Dallas area and the expansion of Hwy 75 and SH 121.
