Frisco, Texas
The city of Frisco is north of Dallas, but only a stone's throw. It's home to many museums, sports, and shopping. Looking for some outdoor fun, check out the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, the Museum of the American Railroad or Frisco Commons Park.
This community got it's roots as a stop for wagon trains along the Shawnee Trail. Did you know that this trail became Preston Trail, which was later turned into... you guessed it Preston Road! It got it's own post office in 1860 and also became a train stop in the 1900s.
Currently there are less than 120,000 people living in Frisco, so it's still got a small-town feel with the convenience of living near Dallas. The schools are excellent in the Frisco school district and new schools are being added to keep up with the growth in the area.
