Little Elm, Texas
Don't be fooled by the name, the city of Little Elm is now considered one of the fastest growing cities in Texas in terms of percentage. In 2000, the city only had 3,600 residents, but now it's estimated to be over 31,000. Most of Little Elm is newly built due to the rapid expansion of the city.
Little Elm is another city that is close to Dallas, but offers the quick access to Lake Lewisville with more than 66 miles of shoreline. Want some time outside? In addition to the lake access, Little Elm is also part of the Tree City USA designation by the Arbor Day Foundation.
Three school districts serve Little Elm: Little Elm ISD, Frisco ISD, and Denton ISD. The original part of Little Elm is served by Little Elm ISD.
